Le Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des Nations unies (ONU) convoquera une session d’urgence lundi, \u00e0 la suite de la reconnaissance controvers\u00e9e par Isra\u00ebl du Somaliland, une r\u00e9publique autoproclam\u00e9e qui a fait s\u00e9cession de la Somalie et n’\u00e9tait \u00e0 ce jour reconnue par aucun autre pays. Dans une d\u00e9claration publi\u00e9e samedi soir par le Qatar et la Jordanie, 21 pays – principalement arabes – ont mis en garde samedi face aux \u00ab\u00a0graves cons\u00e9quences\u00a0\u00bb de la d\u00e9cision d’Isra\u00ebl pour \u00ab\u00a0la paix et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans la Corne de l’Afrique\u00a0\u00bb et la r\u00e9gion de la mer Rouge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vendredi, Isra\u00ebl a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier pays au monde \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre le Somaliland en tant qu’\u00c9tat souverain et ind\u00e9pendant<\/a>. Cette r\u00e9gion situ\u00e9e au nord de la Somalie avait proclam\u00e9 son ind\u00e9pendance de fa\u00e7on unilat\u00e9rale en 1991. Le gouvernement somalien a qualifi\u00e9 cette d\u00e9cision d'\u00a0\u00bbatteinte d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 la souverainet\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb et de \u00ab\u00a0violation grave du droit international<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. Cette d\u00e9cision isra\u00e9lienne a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise quelques jours avant que la Somalie ne prenne la pr\u00e9sidence tournante du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des Nations unies.La d\u00e9claration condamne \u00e9galement \u00ab\u00a0les tentatives visant \u00e0 expulser de force le peuple palestinien de ses terres<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, apr\u00e8s que des informations aient fait \u00e9tat d’un lien entre cette reconnaissance et des tentatives isra\u00e9liennes de d\u00e9placer la population de Gaza.\u00a0 Un repr\u00e9sentant du Somaliland a toutefois d\u00e9clar\u00e9 samedi sur la cha\u00eene isra\u00e9lienne Channel 12 que cette reconnaissance par Tel Aviv n’\u00e9tait pas li\u00e9e au conflit \u00e0 Gaza.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e9publique autoproclam\u00e9e du Somaliland b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d’une position strat\u00e9gique dans le golfe d’Aden et dispose de sa propre monnaie, de ses propres passeports et de sa propre arm\u00e9e. <\/p>\n
